How to apply patches

Jan 19, 2011 at 10:05 AM

Hi guys

Just start of to say thank you for the great open source software, but unfortunately i am not a developer or coder and unsure how to appy the patches supplied under the Source code section, do these need to be compiled or placed in the squiggle directory

There is no concept of applying patches here.

You just have to download the latest exe/zip and replace them with your existing ones in the install dir.

I frequently update the source but those changes are only available to you when I make the next release.

At the moment i am looking to deploy this to our team but with out multicasting enabled on our switches i am stuffed as this goes across subnets, i have read in the posts that you are implementing subnet bridging will this solve my issue that i may have or will this be a pipe dream for me.

Look forward to your reply.

Yes thats correct bridge will allow you to connect two subnets as well as two networks across wan. I'm dedicated to providing it in next release of Squiggle. Follow Overroot on twitter to stay updated about the progress.
